Protozoa are unicellular eukaryotes that have a single cell in their body. Being unicellular, Protozoans can reproduce through binary fission. During the process, the adult protozoans is divided into two daughter organisms. each of these newly formed organisms attains growth and maturation.

Example: Amoeba is a protozoan that divides by binary fission.
