What do you think could happen if a person could be tried twice for the dmar offense

I believe that there are some benefits but also some consequences if a person could be tried twice for the same offense. For example, some criminals could be convicted the second time if they weren't convicted the first. On the other hand, an innocent person could be tried twice and fall under the stress, making them appear guilty and then leading to a conviction.

What happened to most indentured servants after their term of indenture ended?

Indentured servant was a system where the settler, who signed on for a temporary period of servitude to a master in exchange for passage to the New World. Indentured servitude, unlike slavery, existed for only a period of years. Upon the completion of service, indentured servants in most colonies received "freedom dues." At first, the colonies often made land grants. In early Maryland, for example, perhaps as many as 90% of indentured servants received land upon completion of service. Eventually, however, the colonies turned to either monetary payments or payments in kind by the master. Although early 17th-century indentured servants had a degree of economic mobility, by the 18th century such mobility had diminished. For example, according to one study, by 1745 only 9% of Pennsylvania indentured servants received land.

What happened after the french revolution, was the government the same or different?

A watershed event in modern European history, the French Revolution began in 1789 and ended in the late 1790s with the ascent of Napoleon Bonaparte. During this period, French citizens razed and redesigned their country’s political landscape, uprooting centuries-old institutions such as absolute monarchy and the feudal system. Like the American Revolution before it, the French Revolution was influenced by Enlightenment ideals, particularly the concepts of popular sovereignty and inalienable rights. Although it failed to achieve all of its goals and at times degenerated into a chaotic bloodbath, the movement played a critical role in shaping modern nations by showing the world the power inherent in the will of the people.

Todd felt terrible about what was happening, but he joined in on the teasing for fear of being ridiculed by his friends. Which of the following pairs of traits did Todd NOT exhibit in this situation? A. integrity and respect B. perseverance and courage C. respect and personality D. personality and character

The correct answer is A) integrity and respect.

The following pairs of traits were NOT exhibited by Todd in this situation: integrity and respect.

It is precisely in this kind of situations when you have to be yourself and show the kind of education, integrity, and respect that you have learned at home and in school.

Respect for the differences of personalities, likes, and dislikes of other persons. Integrity, to do what you know is right always, including difficult moments like Todd lived. To do the right thing always, no matter what is a symbol of integrity and compassion. That is what Todd did not show in the above situation.

What would you say about slavery if it ever happened again

Slavery was a horrible time in history for many African Americans. It was a time of death and horror. These memories are considered to never be thought of again by some. Working people to death and beating them like a meat is not what I consider fair. No one should be thrown on the ground for doing work that someone else could not do. This hardship of a point in time was very devastating for tons of people. Families being separated and divided amongst other families. This was chaos in the eyes of the world. I almost like to consider it "The Second Holocaust." If slavery were to ever happen again, I would protest, giving my life, because I know its right to fight wrong.

What happened after the US invasion of Iraq in 2003

After an intense manhunt, U.S. soldiers found Saddam Hussein hiding in a six-to-eight-foot deep hole, nine miles outside his hometown of Tikrit. He did not resist and was uninjured during the arrest. A soldier at the scene described him as “a man resigned to his fate.” Hussein was arrested and began trial for crimes against his people, including mass killings, in October 2005.

In June 2004, the provisional government in place since soon after Saddam’s ouster transferred power to the Iraqi Interim Government. In January 2005, the Iraqi people elected a 275-member Iraqi National Assembly. A new constitution for the country was ratified that October. On November 6, 2006, Saddam Hussein was found guilty of crimes against humanity and sentenced to death by hanging. After an unsuccessful appeal, he was executed on December 30, 2006.

What happened after the US invasion of Iraq in 2003

We (the USA) never attacked nor set foot on North Vietnamese soil. Had we done that, it would have been over in a heartbeat. But our great leader, President Lyndon Bains Johnson, was afraid of initiating nuclear war with the Russians, and he would never allow a US invasion of the North.
P.S. A couple of decades earlier, we invaded North Korea during the Korean war, turning a near certain Communist victory into the stalemate that the Korean war remains in today.
