What is the role of the RNA of the invading AIDS virus when it is released into the host cell? (The question goes along with the reading and I don't know how to answer the question)

According to the text, the ribonucleic acid or the RNA is released by the helper T-lymphocyte when the AIDS virus enters it.  The RNA will affect the cells of the host directly to the DNA and this will make the DNA to form new AIDS viruses.  Since the DNA was affected through the RNA, the T-lymphocyte’s effectiveness will not be as effective as before.

How do you lose 40 pounds in less than a month? Someone explain to me, please.

By knowing your daily maintenance caloric requirement and going into a deficit.

However 40 pounds in a month is too fast and unhealthy unless you're morbidly obese which is eventually going to result in loose skin and metabolic problems.

I'd start with a caloric-deficit. Water fast or intermittent fasting.

Plus if you'd like to know the exact caloric requirement; comment your age, sex, daily intake and level of exercise.

Thanks.

QUESTION POSTED AT 16/10/2019 - 11:23 PM

Warm, moist air will have a. high humidity and low dew point. c. high humidity and high dew point. b. low humidity and high dew point. d. low humidity and low dew point.

The correct answer is C. High humidity and high dew point

Explanation:

Air humidity refers to the concentration of water vapor in the air which is determined by the saturation and that increases according to temperature. This implies cold air has low humidity and on the opposite warm air has high humidity. On the other hand, the dew point refers to the temperature in which water vapor condenses or becomes water again, this also depends on temperature and humidity as the higher the temperature and humidity in the air the higher is the dew point because air will need to cool to become water. Therefore, warm, moist air will have high humidity to higher temperature and saturation and a high dew point due to high humidity and high temperature.

QUESTION POSTED AT 16/10/2019 - 11:23 PM

The Supreme Court is most likely to be accused of judicial activism in cases involving which of the following

The Supreme Court is most likely to be accused of judicial activism in cases involving:  protection of individual rights.

Writing for the conservative group, The Heritage Foundation, Elizabeth Slattery defines judicial activism as "when judges fail to apply the Constitution or laws impartially according to their original public meaning, regardless of the outcome, or do not follow binding precedent of a higher court and instead decide the case based on personal preference."

Cases involving individual rights are likely to elicit charges of judicial activism because the Constitution does not spell out each and every sort of right citizens may have.  New questions come up that were not considered or specified at the time the Constitution was written.  For instance, Roe v. Wade (1973) addressed the question of abortion and an individual's right to privacy.  Obergefell v. Hodges (2015) addressed the legality of same-sex marriage.  Both are cases of individual rights, where the Constitution did not give direct instruction on the issues at stake.  The decisions on those issues, to allow abortion and to allow same-sex marriage, both are criticized by conservatives as instances of judicial activism.

A plant can have either broad leaves (B) or narrow leaves (b) a plant with genotype Bb is crosses with a plant with genotype bb which punnet square correctly represents this cross

Answer:

The correct answer is shown in the figure attached below.

The genotype of one parent is Bb. Thus, it would produce two types of gametes.

One type of gamete will contain B and another type of gamete will contain b.

The genotype of another parent is bb. Thus, it will produce only one type of gamete which will contain b.

The cross would result in the production of offspring with two types of genotypes in equal proportions. The two genotypes would be Bb and bb.

The phenotypic ratio would be 1 (broad leaves): 1 (narrow leaves).
